Tony Ross

Catherine Rayner

I also came across Catherine Rayner while looking on a illustrators website. What I liked was her screen printed simple backgrounds, and watercolour images. Her images seem free, simple and really unique. Its like what I was saying about Mei Matsuka about having simple backgrounds so I can concentrate on the images.

Mei Matsuoka

What I liked about Mei Matuoka where her backgrounds. It reminds me of how I used to do backgrounds before I ''put off'' doing them, even though I really enjoyed making them, and thought I was on my way to creating a style at the time.
Its something I'm definatly going to play around with this summer, so I can make easy colourful backgrounds, so I can concentrate more on my figures which should be the main point of interest.
